# Online learning platform design and development

Shaping a video learning experience.

Magistral was an online learning platform project built around video content and subscription access. We worked on product design and development, connecting the course catalogue, learning experience and content access model.

## From catalogue to course

Designing how people discover and use content.

The challenge was to create a coherent learner journey: browsing the offering, exploring a course and accessing its lessons. The design work organised information and screens around that use.

## The building blocks of the platform

The product concept included these features, with video and subscriptions at the centre of the experience.

### User experience

An interface for exploring content and finding a way through each course.

### Subscriptions

Content access organised around subscription plans.

### Video on demand

Video lessons as the main learning format.

### Product architecture

Technical foundations connecting courses, content and user access.

### Different screens

The design considered use on computers, tablets and phones.

### Certificates

The concept included the possibility of issuing certificates on course completion.

### Payments

Purchasing a subscription as part of the user journey.

### Content access

Managing access to lessons according to the account and subscription.

### Languages

The concept considered content and interfaces in different languages.

### Learning insights

Tools for reviewing interaction with courses were considered in the product plan.

## An experience designed as a whole

Interface, content and access belong to the same product.

Our work on Magistral connected screen design with the platform’s technical approach. The images show the catalogue, recommendations and course presentation we worked on during the project.
