Arnau Parcerisa

Arnau is a backend developer at Mecexis. He works with Python and Django, with a degree in ICT Systems Engineering from UPC and experience in business software, calculations and systems integration. His focus is where data and rules become features that address a concrete need.

Bringing engineering into software

At Mecexis, his main work has been on ADEC, developing calculation programs, backend features and integrations for advanced structural calculations. This work connects specialist knowledge with software that people can use and maintain.

Previously, at Avinent Group, he developed internal applications and worked with databases and Sage X3 ERP integrations. This gives him context on how a company’s tools work alongside one another and why information needs to move between them.

Teamwork on the pitch

Football is an important part of his background. He has been involved in player development since 2016, first at CE Manresa and later at Gimnàstic de Manresa. At Gimnàstic, his roles have included coach, head of seven-a-side scouting and coordinator of performance seven-a-side football.

This involves observing, preparing, explaining and supporting a team over time. It brings a personal dimension to his engineering profile, with experience taking responsibility and working with people who learn and progress together.
