About us
We care about what we build.
When a project demands more.
From startups to large organisations.
We have developed startup products in employment, logistics and stock-market algorithms. We have also contributed to projects for large businesses and multinationals, particularly through Square One. This experience combines the needs of an early-stage product with the demands of established organisations.
Our work with ACB included the app, Distribution, Live, TV, brackets and quizzes. For Bàsquet Manresa, we have worked on the website, app, ecommerce and Viu Bàsquet Manresa. These projects form part of the team’s technical and product experience.
Today, we apply that experience to custom software, integrations and AI. Connecting models with data, processes and people requires understanding the whole system as well as the technology.

Today’s AI. Years of experience.
We work with large language models (LLMs), machine learning and image processing. The studio’s first AI project dates back to 2018. Today, we apply that knowledge to automation connecting documents, catalogues and business systems, drawing on custom software experience built since 2012.
-
Turning documents into data
In Quiralis, we integrate AI into document review to reduce repetitive work. Administrative staff continue checking the data and resolving issues. Automation is built into the workflow.
-
Less manual catalogue work
We have developed automation to generate text and connect product information. We apply AI to specific catalogue maintenance tasks, integrated into B2B operations.
-
Models connected to the business
A model’s response is only one part of the solution. We handle the software, data and integrations needed to bring it into the workflow, with checks, human review and clear decisions about what to automate.
The team behind your custom software.
We are a design and custom software development studio based in Manresa since 2012. We help businesses and startups build digital products, automate processes and grow through web and mobile applications, B2B ecommerce and artificial intelligence integrations.
You work directly with the team designing and developing your project. We connect business needs with technical decisions and support you from product definition through launch and ongoing development.

Human resources · the humans are us
Our name is about getting involved.
Mecexis comes from méthexis, the idea of participation in Plato’s philosophy. We see it as a bridge between what we imagine and what comes into being. It reflects our involvement from the first questions to the software people use every day.
-
If it does not make sense, we say so.
We listen to what you want to achieve and challenge proposed solutions when needed. Before adding features, we consider what they solve, what they cost and what maintaining them will involve.
-
Design and code develop together.
Designers and developers share decisions. We address user experience and technical feasibility together, with understandable code, human review and tests for critical logic.
-
The project must be able to move forward.
You own the code we develop. We document decisions and use open technologies so you can keep developing the product, whether with us or with another team.
Understand
Noesis, before writing code.
Every Mecexis proposal starts with a phase we call Noesis. The name draws on the idea of deep understanding and Plato’s cave, where prisoners mistook shadows for reality. For a digital product, leaving the cave means looking beyond a demo that seems to work and understanding who will use it, what for and which problem it must solve.
Before writing code, we study users and their needs, define the product and, where needed, prototype its most uncertain aspects. This work gives development decisions a clear foundation and allows estimates to start from a well-defined product.
With AI, this work matters even more. Creating a first version is getting faster, but an answer is only as good as the question behind it. Asking the right questions, understanding the context and deciding what is worth building still require human judgement. We use AI extensively to support that understanding.
Noesis leaves you with tangible results: a defined product, technical decisions, evidence on the main uncertainties and a development estimate. It is a bounded commitment that reduces risk for the rest of the project. If you decide not to continue, you still keep useful work that you can build on.

Build
Shape Up, with one goal per cycle.
We apply Shape Up in 20-day development cycles. We agree on scope before starting and review working software together at the end.
The team works towards that shared goal. Between cycles, we make room for adjustments and prepare the next step. If a request changes the scope, we assess it before adding it.
Simple code, human review and testing critical logic are part of the work.
When a product includes AI, we define which tasks the model can take on, how results will be reviewed and what happens when a response is not reliable enough. Oversight and exception handling are part of the design.

Improve
Launch is another step along the way.
You truly understand a product when people start using it. We support that stage, prioritising improvements with you and agreeing on the support your operation needs.
Our experience ranges from the official ACB app to B2B ecommerce and AI document review in Quiralis. Different uses share a common requirement: software has to deliver when it becomes part of everyday work.
We keep decisions documented so the project can grow and be handed over without losing accumulated knowledge.

Our story, one project at a time.
Since 2012, we have grown the studio, our technical capabilities and our own software foundation. Projects that remain in use, our specialisation and the tools we have refined explain how we work today: drawing on experience to make decisions and technology to move forward.

Responsible for communication projects - ACBAt ACB, we wanted to modernize and optimize our official app. By working with Mecexis, we were able to achieve a very satisfactory final result, in line with the historic institution we represent and what fans needed. Thus, we have managed to consolidate an essential tool for following the Endesa League with a better user experience.
