Oriol Lanuza
Backend development and DevOps
Oriol combines backend development, DevOps and applied artificial intelligence. His work connects product logic with data, integrations and the environments that run it. He has extensive experience with large language models (LLMs) and image processing.
AI within real systems
Working with AI inside a product requires understanding how information enters, how it is processed and how it relates to the rest of the software. Oriol combines this experience with a background in Python, backend development and cloud services.
He has contributed across Mecexis’s projects since 2019–2020. These include Quiralis, with AI document review, B2B ecommerce and the Square One Media Hub audiovisual platform. In these contexts, development, integrations and platform operations need to work together.
Understanding the whole system
He studied ICT Systems Engineering at UPC. His education in computer architecture, operating systems, networks and electronics gives him a perspective beyond application code. He also has hands-on experience administering servers, networks and websites.
At Mecexis, he works on both backend development and the deployment and maintenance of environments. This continuity helps connect development decisions with what happens once people start using the product.
Sharing knowledge
Teaching is also part of his background. It complements his technical work with the need to explain concepts and make them understandable. On the Mecexis blog, he shares knowledge about Django deployments with Kamal.
